Project Management Elite

Project Management Institute (PMI) is the world’s largest body for project management profession, which is expected to be a 6 trillion by 2020. PMI promotes globally recognized standards and certifications in project management such as Project Management Professional (PMP), Program Management Professional (PgMP), and Portfolio Management Professional (PfMP). There are close to 3 million PMI-certified project management professionals in the world.

However, to maintain the certifications, a certified professional needs to earn a specific amount of Professional Development Units (PDUs) per 3 year certification cycle. Currently, the renewal of certifications requires professionals to acquire 35 PDUs in Education and 25 PDUs in Giving Back to the Profession (sharing knowledge) category - totally, 60 PDUs.

PMI continually evolves its standards based on ongoing research on the real world needs of organizations. Recently, it has introduced Talent Triangle, which has leadership skills and strategic and business management skills, in addition to technical skills.
